We live in Agoura and were in need of home hospice care for my wife who was battling cancer. From the first in-take phone call to the final call to the mortuary the staff at Comfort Choice were a gift. My wife required constant care nursing for about a week. The nurses are truly angels. Proactive, patient centric, knowledgeable and caring. My wife felt safe and cared for and we felt that the care was excellent. If meds needed a refill, the refill was usually delivered to our home within a couple of hours. If we needed equipment or a hospital bed, it was here the same day. If questions arose, it was an easy call to the supervising nurse or our case manager to get the answers. I really can’t say enough about this company. They were really the right choice for us.

A wonderful nurse named Joanny took care of my grandma in her last hours — she was kind, empathetic, and knew her stuff (both caring for my grandma and dictating what she was doing every step of the way). She also had great nurses named Desiree and Pamela earlier in the process. Thanks to everyone who made this easier on us.

First of all, I do not normally write Yelp reviews (so you won’t see me as highly rated Yelp source). But I know of what I speak and feel compelled to do so due to the extraordinary hospice care that was recently provided to my mother by Comfort Choice. Her hospice care lasted for over 8 months.

During all of that time, and especially towards the end of her life, Comfort Choice provided excellent care – in all aspects of the term and our needs – and always went the extra mile. The help, compassion and attention provided by Comfort Choice made her later life more complete, easier and more comfortable.

In particular, our hospice nurse, Pamela, provided what can only be characterized as stellar care. She was not just a caregiver, she was a true friend, confidant and advisor whom my mother trusted, cared for deeply and loved. She was always there for my mother – and for myself and our family. She helped guide all of us through this difficult process and did so with candor, great advice and compassion. We are so lucky to have found her and to have had her as our nurse, friend, advisor and guide during this trying period.

If I ever have to do this again, my first call will be to Comfort Choice, and hopefully with Pamela.

My father is currently receiving hospice care from Pamela at Comfort Choice in his assisted living facility. I found Comfort Choice because of recommendations from families and staff at the assisted living after my father was hospitalized. It took a day, maybe two at the absolute most, for the paperwork to get in place for them to start seeing him. They move fast, which is incredibly appreciated.

It’s been about 2 months and Pamela is nothing short of amazing. Most importantly, she provides my father with the care and comfort he needs, answering his questions about death and dying, what’s going on with his body and his diseases, and also advocating for him by knowing what will help him be comfortable and live a happy life, including nutrition, activities, etc. Comfort Choice provided him medical equipment literally the day after I signed the paperwork. Unlike every other medical provider, I have had to do nothing, no chasing after the DME company, no calling around for authorizations, nothing. They took care of everything and bill Medicare directly. Pamela has also helped me understand what is going on with my father’s conditions and the road ahead, she is very responsive, knowing that she has other patients and families to support, too.

I admit that what I thought about hospice going in was actually very different and very limited compared to what it actually is. I recommend calling them, asking them all of the awkward, scary questions, they’ve heard them all before, and they will happily answer all of your questions and follow up with you very quickly.

It’s been 2.5 weeks since our mom’s passing and we have reflected much on the warmth, care, tenderness, and wisdom Pamela showed our mom, my brother and me. While my mom only had a couple of weeks of hospice care, Pamela was instrumental in making that time easeful and peaceful for us all. We are forever grateful!

My 90 yr old m-in-law was recently hospitalized and per her express wishes, returned home and placed in the caring and compassionate hands of Comfort Choice Hospice. My husband and I were abroad, but the 6 or so family members who interacted with the hospice staff regularly ALL stated that the staff was EXTRAORDINARY. Not a single family member (even the difficult ones) described the nurses – particularly Andy – as anything less than ‘……kind, excellent, loving, gentle, compassionate, professional…..’. , til the end. Having not been able to be present, I cannot express my gratitude and appreciation to Comfort Choice for so gracefully facilitating a situation w potential to be fraught with sadness, misery and short fuses. The entire family feels profound gratitude. We can not recommend them highly enough.

My father in law had a very short time in hospice due to his illness. During that time, Comfort Choice, went above and beyond to offer care, comfort, strength and direction during an extremely difficult time. Our entire family is forever grateful for all they have done for us and if the time comes again, where we are in need of hospice, I would not hesitate a second to choose Comfort Choice.

I can not say enough good things about Comfort Choice and the staff. My father-in-law was in and out of the hospital for the last month. Last Monday, things took a turn for the worse. We called Comfort Choice because we had such a positive experience the first time with my grandma. This case was way more complex but they walked us through every step. We reached out to our previous social worker, Stephanie, who started guiding us right from that phone call. She called Nicki her supervisor that’s where we came up with a plan. There were many phone calls. We needed special transportation to get my father-in-law home. Nurse JJ was waiting on the other end for my father-in-law to arrive home. We needed a 24 nurse Angelino amazing…every move we made they guided us. In last hours of my father-in-law’s life, we did a special Zoom, Pastor Hector came to the house and gave my father-in-law a beautiful mini service just enough to have closure for our family. It was absolutely beautiful. My father-in-law passed peacefully with my husband by his side. This was our second experience with this agency, it was professional all the way…the whole team never left our side.
